Program Description

Coach Wang is pleased to offer summer intensive chess training programs in Long Island, NY.

Time and Location

  • Session 1: July 8-12
  • Session 2: July 15-19
  • Session 3: July 22-26

You can sign up for 1 or multiple session. We strongly encourage you to join all 3 session for best result.

  • Early Bird Registration: $625/Week ends April 15, 2019
  • Standard Registration: $675/Week ends May 31, 2019
  • Late Registration: $750/week after May 31, 2019

*Note: 10% siblings discount. Lunch not covered. Lunch order available at additional cost.



9:15 –  9:30 AM Drop off, snack time
9:30 – 10:30 AM First Lecture
10:45 – 11:45 AM Second Lecture
11:45 –  1:20 PM Lunch Break
1:20 –  2:00 PM Endgame Study
2:10 –  4:15  PM G60, unrated games
4:15 –  5:00 PM Game review session
5:00 PM Pick up


Improvement Guaranteed

We will mainly focus on opening theories and preparations, endgame study and practical plays, and calculations in the middlegames. Our goal is to help students from all over the country to be ready for World Chess Cadets Championship in Shandong, China in late August.

About Coach Wang

Coach Qibiao Wang is a professional chess player and coach. He was enrolled in Hebei Province Chess Team at age of ten. Several years later, he was invited to Chinese National Chess Team in 2004. Coach Wang became a full time chess coach in 2016. Within three years, more than 9 of his students have earned National Master title by USCF or even higher titles awarded by FIDE (The World Chess Federation). Two of Coach Wang’s students won gold medals at 2017 WCCC in Brazil. And three of his students were rewarded with All-American Chess Team.
